Abstract

New quality productivity empowers intelligent logistics technology innovation and enhances supply chain management efficiency. Considering the overall effect of logistics efficiency, in response to the drawbacks of traditional operations such as manual unpacking and unloading or equipment lifting and dumping during the process of "converting bulk goods to container transportation", which are prone to rope breakage and cross safety between humans and machines, and have low efficiency and high cost, we have innovated the flipping design scheme of "centralized to scattered" cargo lifting equipment, including two parts: automatic opening and closing of containers and flipping and opening technology. Through digital and intelligent design, we have achieved automation and standardization of automatic opening and closing of containers for unloading operations, effectively improving work efficiency, eliminating safety hazards, and having good comprehensive effects and promotion value.

Abstract

Under the background of accelerating urbanization process, subway construction has become an important means to solve the problem of urban traffic congestion. However, ground subsidence is a common and strictly controlled problem during subway tunnel construction in soft soil areas. Due to the unique characteristics of soft soil itself, the disturbance in the construction process is easy to lead to soil deformation and ground subsidence, which has a great impact on the safety and smooth progress of subway tunnel construction. Therefore, it is very important to study the ground subsidence control technology caused by subway tunnel construction in soft soil area.

Abstract

Production capacity, a technical parameter which not only reflects the process capacity of the company but also shows the production scale, is the principle for enterprises to make business plans. Both the overcapacity and the shortage have an impact on the management. Firstly, the background and the signification of production capacity are presented in this paper. Then company M is taken as an example to analyze the production capacity of the line of product S. Thirdly, reasons of the low production capacity and how to optimize the line of product S based on the methods of industrial engineering and other engineering techniques are elaborated. Finally the performance of the line of product S after improvement is measured and evaluated.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and rapidly evolving business landscapes, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) have become pivotal strategies for companies to navigate competitive markets and drive growth. This study examines Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox, a landmark deal in the entertainment industry. The analysis begins with an overview of the backgrounds of Disney and Fox, along with the prevailing financial market conditions at the time of the acquisition. It then explores the strategic motivations behind Disney's pursuit of Fox, including market expansion, content diversification, and technological advancement, while assessing whether the acquisition involved any hostile takeover elements. The paper further evaluates the post-acquisition impacts on Disney’s stock performance and identifies the primary beneficiaries of the transaction, encompassing stakeholders such as the acquiring and target companies, their senior management teams, employees, clients, and the local community. This comprehensive case study highlights the significance of strategic M&A in achieving corporate objectives and enhancing competitive advantage.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the most important sectors of the global economy. With technological advancements, and the developments in Blockchain technology, the businesses in the touristic sector are now depending on the technology to maintain a highly competitive background, the metaverse tourism. The rise of Augmented reality (AR) and Virtual reality (VR) has impacted this sector negatively and positively. When tourists need to visit a destination, they already have their expectations and what to wait for, since they can visit the site virtually and can priori to their physical visit. Nevertheless, the technology is somewhat unfamiliar. Futurists predict that metaverse tourism has a great potential to revolutionize traditional tourism processes. By 2026, it is forecasted that the sector will have a market size of $188.24 billion and a CAGR of 26.01%. Now, this new technology has only been recognized by bigger tourism companies. Despite the scholarly speculations that metaverse will alter the operations of tourism industry, efforts to understand the technology in both industry and academia are at crossroads. This research seeks to answer the question: “What are the positive impacts of Blockchain technology, metaverse, on tourism and how will it impact the future of tourism?” In this opinion piece, the research explains the metaverse concept in the context of the tourism industry and presents a conceptual framework for the creation of metaverse experiences. The study employs secondary literature analysis as a research method to analyze how the concept has altered the tourism industry. The findings show that metaverse technology influences consumer attitude by redefining booking experiences and creating VR and AR experiences. The technology also allows decentralization and traceability, smart contracts and planning for tourism activities. These increase the likelihood of the reception of metaverse technology in the tourism industry, and in this process, the stakeholders' perceptions will change. Therefore, it can be acknowledged that the metaverse can and will impact the tourism sector in the future.

Abstract

With the aging trend of the global population, smart pension has become a new way to solve the pension problem. As an innovative mutual assistance pension model, time banking promotes community mutual assistance by recording and exchanging service time. However, the traditional time bankings face the problems of lack of trust and low transparency. Blockchain technology, with its decentralized, immutable nature, provides new possibilities to solve these problems. This study introduces the concept of time banking and wisdom endowment and its importance, and then review the existing about time banking, wisdom endowment and block chain technology research, elaborated the detail how block chain technology is applied to time banking and wisdom pension services, including its possible advantages (such as security, traceability, etc.) and challenges (such as technical complexity, policies and regulations, etc.). This paper puts forward views and suggestions on the application of blockchain technology in time banking and smart elderly care services, including policy formulation, technology development, business model and other aspects, which also provides a new perspective and practical guidance for the development of time banking and smart elderly care services.

Abstract

In recent years, global warming has caused sea level rise, and extreme weather events have occurred frequently, triggering a series of disasters that have endangered human survival and development. The greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide emitted by human combustion of fossil fuels are the main cause of climate change, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions is directly related to global environmental security. In order to cope with the severe situation of climate change, the international community strongly demands that countries around the world transform their high carbon emissions way of survival and development, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The international community has reached consensus on some major issues regarding how to reduce emissions. With the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization process and the continuous improvement of residents' energy consumption level, the pressure on resources and environment will further increase. In the future, greenhouse gas emissions may further increase with economic growth.
