The Mediating Role of Emotion Regulation in Human-Computer Interaction and Value Co-Creation Behaviour Among University Staff: The Moderating Effect of MBTI Personality

Abstract


Building upon affective event theory, this study constructs a moderated mediation model to examine the influence mechanism of human-computer interaction on value co-creation behaviour and its boundary conditions. Empirical findings from a survey of 669 participants reveal: (1) Human-computer interaction significantly and positively predicts value co-creation behaviour; (2) Emotion management partially mediates the relationship between human-computer interaction and value co-creation; (3) Both the direct effect of human-computer interaction on value co-creation and the mediating role of emotion management are moderated by MBTI personality type. This research elucidates the influence mechanism of human-machine interaction on employees' value co-creation behaviour, offering practical guidance for fostering such conduct to generate greater corporate value. Consequently, it provides valuable reference points for industry-academia-research collaborative educational practices. These findings support the consideration of emotional management and personality alignment within intelligent educational settings, thereby enhancing value co-creation in education and fostering a mutually beneficial talent input cycle with enterprises.
