Research Hot Topics, Evolutionary Characteristics, and Future Prospects of Digital Textbooks in Primary and Secondary Schools
Abstract
Based on 142 articles from domestic core journals, this study employs the information science knowledge mapping software CiteSpace to review and analyze literature in the field of digital textbooks for primary and secondary schools over the past 15 years (2008-2023). It explores the main research hotspots and frontiers, systematically summarizes the evolutionary characteristics and future development trends of this field, and provides valuable references. Current research hotspots in digital textbooks for primary and secondary schools include: digital textbooks, digitalization, and textbook publishing. The evolutionary characteristics of digital textbooks in this field are: initial exploration and platform construction; steady development and enhanced governance capabilities. Future efforts should fully leverage the advantages of new forms of textbooks such as digital textbooks to enhance educational quality.
